What are AI credits, and why do I need them with a subscription?
Short answer
AI credits pay for features that use AI models, such as a workout plan built by AI. We pay the provider every time a model is used, so AI is billed separately. Logging workouts, your own plans and statistics don't use any credits.
What you spend credits on
- An AI workout plan.
- Importing your own plan pasted as text.
- A one-time import of workouts from another app when you first open SmartWorkout.
Why credits are separate from the subscription
Without a limit, a few people could use AI without restraint, and that cost would end up in everyone's subscription price. So the subscription includes a fixed monthly allowance of credits, and if you need more, you can buy a pack. You can also buy credits on their own without a subscription.
Where to check your balance
Profile › Settings › AI Credits. There you'll see your remaining credits, the price list and your usage history.
